Just like to say that I replaced my faulty timer that was flashing on and off. It cost me €117 in Davies. All is well now. That previous thread got ridiculous. There was too much bickering going on.

Couldn't agree more. I was like watching Jane Goody in Big Brother - you wanted to look away yet at the same time there was a certain amount of enjoyment in witnessing how cringeworth it got ('car crash internet').

I eventually ended up replacing my timer as well. Similar price.
Who'd have thought my original question about a CH timer would have evoked such emotion amongst plumbing & heating enthusiasts???
