Why did you not make a jobseekers allowance claim which is means tested. When did you first apply for jobseekers benefit?

I applied in March when I was left go but was told I did not qualify I was short 2 stamps, I was also told my husband earned to much to so no point in having a means test, come October I'll be down to 13 hours a week to qualify for benefit will it still go on stamps for 2007 and 2006 ?

If you are making a JSB claim in 2011 it goes on the year 2009. And you have to have a cumulative total of 104 cons to qualify for JSB. If you have 39 cons in 2009 and have a total of 104 you will qualify for jsb or if you have 26 cons in 2009 and 26 in 2008 you will qualify.
