VF845 Android phone running slow

my phone has been running really slow lately, stuttering a lot. It says it has Android 2.1 update 1 installed. Is there a way to update the software on it, and could that fix the problem? Thanks

so if its not out now,it will never be.
did you try an ota update? to see if it was released for it??

also try clearing the cache in the applications

Go to Settings, Applications, wait for the list to populate, hit Menu, and sort by size. The ones at the top, obviously, are the larger ones. This GENERALLY means that the cache is rather large on it and should be cleared first. Sometimes, the app is just that big and the cache really may not be as big. But click on the first ten app or so on the list and there should be an option to clear cache.

If it is darkened out, that means there is no cache to clear for that app.

make sure you only clear the cache and not the data....

a mates desire was ruinning slow and clearing the cache sorted his out
