New build Heating & DHW + Venting

I'm looking for help in regard to best (& cheapest) options for DHW & Space heating for a new build house.
We are self building a 4 bedroom one & half storey 2700sqft house using Kingspan Ultima 140mm timberframe (U-Value 0.15) inc. Airtight pack & tests. We are looking at installing Triple glazed window (U-V 0.8).

The big debate is heating & hot water! Rural location & want to avoid Oil if possible. Looking at Solar panels & possibility of a wood pellet stove (top loading) with boiler to feed radiators would there be better solutions? Also need to think about ventilation, alot of people are suggesting MVHR systems (€4500) would this be necessary or would trickle vents on windows suffice. Or are we mad not to put in MVHR system? Budget is tight but also need to think of the future which is why choosing good insulation.
Any help would be appreciated, or does anybody reccomend a company who will look at this for us. (Co Mayo/Sligo area)
    Thanks.

If ye are airtightening your house as much as you say you are,you definitely need HRV system in the house. there will be a lack of fresh air in the house and will feel very stuffy. Only putting vents in the windows will just defeat the purpose of airtightening the house. A HRV system for a 4500euro would sound cheap, any decent system would cost 6000 or more. Dont buy the cheapest system out there.
If you dont want oil in the house, the solar panals and the stove sounds good. Are you against A heat Pump with under floor heating.

Thanks mark2003, on response. Any reccommendations ref HRV systems or suppliers. I have meeting with Kingspan soon & need options as they can supply HRV & Solar. Ref Heat pump + UFH, heard at lot or confusing data as in intiall cost to buy & supply but also running costs, therefore long period to cover costs! (ESB like oil only going up) & how good during very cold winters like with have had?. If you were building from scratch what would you do, (In fairness it's not about being green but cost). We have tight budget and need to think on initial outlay & say a 10 year running cost.

I built a house last year, used top insulation and tried to airtight the house as much as possible and I use no oil in the house. I put in a dear GSHP and HRV system.Initial cost for both is high (roughly 35000 for all plumbing and HRV in the house. Running costs are low, from 1st of Jan to now for all Electricity in the house is 570 euro. I would reckon for the year it will be between 1000 and 1200euro.In the future I hope to put up a wind turbine so the house will be self efficient. Hopefully wind turbines will improve and get cheaper.Cost of electricity depends on cost of gas going up in price so I'd reckon electricity will not inflate in price as much as oil.

hey mark2003, can you PM me the details of the GSHP & HRV system? Have you had any issues with either of the systems and what lessons did you learn when getting the systems installed?

I'm hoping to build next year and would like to know what to expect when dealing with installations etc. Thanks!
