Where can you buy a large bag of soybeans?

    I'm from Carlow trying to cut meat out of the diet. I'd like to make my own tofu. Finding it very hard to locate soybeans or tofu anywhere.

    I'm sure this is asked regularly but when I search for soybeans not much comes up in the forums.

    if you are around there you can get a kg of tofu at a moderate price and freeze it (remove the water first)

    I've bought 500g bags in Tesco before. I think they do 1kg bags too.

    My good holy god, I just got 700g for €2 in an Asian food shop :eek: about a quarter of the price that it is in the health food shop. Trying not to think of rainforests...

    you can get lots of stuff in asian supermarkets for which you would pay twice the price for in healthfood shops. Tofu cheese and soya chunks are 2 examples

    Yeah must get in and have a proper look soon, I'd actually never been in before today, though I'd been meaning to for ages because a lot of people had said about it being cheap. Being a creature of habit is expensive :mad:

    yep the kg one we got was about 2e t I think, it's a joke compared to anywhere else....and look at their 45 kg barrels of soy sauce... :P
