Using Skyscanner to book Aer Lingus flights not yet available on AL.com directly

    I've never used skyscanner before but noticed that when searching on it for flights for next July I can get (and have booked) flights with Aer Lingus through the Aer Lingus website which are not available by going directly to Aer Lingus.com (without first using skyscanner).

    Hopefully that's not too confusing :)

    I have an Aer Lingus booking reference and email from Aer Lingus confirming the booking and they took the money from my credit card.

    I'm just nervous that since the flight isn't available buy booking just with Aer Lingus.com that they may decide to cancel the booking and refund me the money.

    Has anyone done this before and if so how did you get on?

    Why are you nervous?
    If it is cancelled then you'll not be out of pocket. And so far in advance you'll not have a problem booking an alternative flight even in december or january.

    Maybe ring the call centre. They are very helpful and will almost certainly be able to provide an explaination as to why the flight isnt properly released on the website. It may simply be a bug in their systems that they dont know about yet.
