What are their sales usually like for the UK? Will you get a weekend at this price, somewhere desirable?

It's very hard to get their £12 sale prices for their hotels that are in most demand, but you do get some bargains. Mid week usually.

Depends how flexible you are with your location too.

Er...I suppose this is a Bargain Alert but I should mention that Travelodge have £19/€29 rooms all throughout the year, it's more or less their business model.

Good luck trying to get any cheap rooms in Central London, but otherwise you can indeed get a bargain if you're not too fussy. Most are fine but some are real sh*tholes, so I would strongly recommend you 'TripAdvisor' before booking anything.

IMHO, you can't go wrong with Premier Inn, but this is still a good price.

Their hotels are generally well out of town centres like on Motorways etc. If you are using a motor they are as good as anything else at the price. Unlikely you will see many rooms that cheap on a Friday/Saturday night.

I point blank refuse to stay in one. Their plastic cheap sheets are so uncomfortable.

stayed in one in birmingham and it was a s***hole-honeslty it was filthy and seemed more like a hostel than a hotel. i was actually nervous staying there. would never ever stay in travel lodge again,

i read about it on trip advisor and thought it cant be that bad but it was every bit as bad as they said and worse.

Stayed in one a couple of months ago when I was over in Wales.

The beds have a very light duvet, If I was to stay in one again, I would bring my sleeping bag.

I stayed in a Premier Inn the following night, a lot more comfortable.

Think the page you were viewing is a remnant of their previous sale
