    Folks,

I am doing up a 'walk in' shower area for my elderly mother. I need to install some horizontal and vertical 'grabrails' near the shower mixer (as per building regulations).

So can anyone recommend a good manufacturer/supplier, preferably in the Cork area. I want good quality, something like chrome plated, but I don't want it to rust.

    Appreciate any feedback/recommendations.

they are pretty standard and are available in the Irish International trading plumbing counter on Tramore Rd. usually in chorme or white finishes.
Be sure to try and find studs when you fitting them

Thanks Outkast. They will be mounted on Porcelain tiles which are glued to the wall, so there is plenty of support there.

And that raises another question : how do I drill a tile without cracking it ?.. Do I use a hammer action drill ?. What speed is best?.

Glass/tile bits are best. They look like little arrows ,but as soon as you hit concrete you need to use a masonary bit.

Also dont use hammer action with the tile bits and its a good idea to spray water on the bit as you drill as they heat up and burn out verh quick
