Golf - KLM Open

Only the one event this week as the PGA Tour/Playoffs takes a 1 week hiatus. KLM Open in Holland actually play on a couple of my favourite courses over the years too so I'm looking forward to it even if my Euro Tour bets have never really been consistent :pac:

    Anyway, 3 bets -

Kaymer @ 8/1 - a past winner, played well this past weekend just his putter let him down and that has been the one thing I've always had doubts over him. Stricker was 7/1 at the John Deere 2 months back and I had no problem backing him so the odds don't put me off and he won.

Dyson @ 20/1 - 2 time winner of the KLM Open. Consistently has done well this summer and capped it off his fine summer play with a win in the Irish Open.

Anderson Hed @ 66/1 - have backed him once before, but this is more based of his play in Switzerland.

    __

Eddy Molinari @ 25/1 was tempting as well.

one of the big 3 will win this week as they had a few weeks off before last week as -14 won last year it is a place were you have to take the par 5s as birdies and eagles and patience is key kaymer would have been closer last week but for awful misssed putts on 14 and 15 from less than 18 inches rory played like a mug when he knew he had no chance was thinking of hiting belfast sunday and monday night with his mates with 103 grand and westwood did his usual hang in there and wait for mistakes from leaders which didnt happen so im thinking rory again for me.... i had kaymer last year at 10s but just does not look same player but i do think when he is on song he is unbeatable but rory for me again

Haven't fancied a golfer as much as Kaymer this week. Seems to do well in the same tournaments year on year and looks to be coming into a bit of form.
100 win and also 2 x 25 doubles on Kaymer with both Ireland and SA to win the world cup.

This one might go to one of the short priced inform golfers.Being straight off the tee a must so i have had a few quid(20) ew on peter lawrie and anders hanson, both guys are pretty straight so might get a bit of a run.Guys who are not so straight worth laying.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 813 ✭✭✭wiger toods

Peter Lawrie for me too! E10 (5 ew) at 50/1 is a good price for him, in good form these days and 2nd place finish here in 2009. :pac:

    gona go with

peter lawrie first round leader at 50/1

    simon dyson ew 20/1

    a hansan ew 28/1

*kaymer at 15/2 is to short

A few examples please of players we should lay if possible, you'll find a lot of holes won't need a driver off the tee so if ur using driving acc stats it might not be as obvious to pick out lays as you think.

Given your previous smartass comments i should ignore you as you are only trying to catch me out. However i believe in stats so here are my suggested lays amongst the fancied players (ie top 15 or 16 in the betting) Ross Fisher,Peter Hanson,Singh,Mcgrane Canizares.

getting a feeling this is going to be a 3 round tourny

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 123 ✭✭rehssu

I think Westwood will win this one. He admitted to being a tad rusty last week so should kick on.

Joost Luiten (45 on bf) apparently lives half an hour away from the course and shot 65-68 last year before blowing up at the weekend.

Plus my customary couple of euro ew on Coles (310 bf) and Horsey (110 ew)

Morons vandalising the course is the reason for the delayed start. They should get Richard Dunne over there to guard the course for the weekened :D

Easy to say when he is having a bad round!
Also very easy to criticise other peoples picks which you seem to do alot not only on this forum. I won't clog the forum so if u want to reply please pm me (based on your previous posts though you won't let it go and will obviously post again - we are all waiting)
Finally, money is all relative to each person. 1euro to one person could be the same as 10,000 to another.

That'd be appreciated for all concerned :)

    Indeed it is.

    ___________

    Anyway, back on topic.

The golf being delayed came at a good time especially for Kaymer. Was watching him for a couple of holes before play was called. He was fair bad. Always had my doubts about him and his putting. Hopefully he'll sort it out though when he gets back out onto the course.

Dyson doing well so far at least.

if 4th round starts it doesn't mean it has to finish, they could still call the 3rd round scores as the finish of the tourney if for eg Monday weather was crappin also(won't happen this week though)

Nice work on backing Dyson people. Nice work indeed.

I just missed out on some money with both Horsey and Luiten finishing T6.

Looking forward to the BMW now so gonna skip over to that thread
