VOB files half vanish on PC!

I have a dvd that plays fine on a standard dvd player, but when I explore the disc on pc, the second half of the VOB files are missing. Yet all of the first half files are available to explore and these amount to 7GB, which is the total size of the dvd! Yet the 2nd half of the disc files are missing, and yet the disc plays fine on a standard dvd player! Total mystery. These 2nd half VOB files do not exist on pc, & yet they resurface on the dvd player. Plus I can only play the 1st half of the disc with VLC media player & windows media player. DVD shrink reports an 'invalid dvd structure'. I am totally confused by this, and no solution seems to exist out in cyberspace.

    Any takers?

No I don't believe it to be as they would hardly just protect half of the disc.

What really puzzles me is that the dvd size is 7GB. 6 VOB files are 1GB each, but yet these 6 VOB files only play half of the dvd, that plays in full on the player.

I really don't know where they hid the 2nd half of the VOB files, as it is not a dual layer disc!

    Utterly puzzling!
