starting to run

    i,ve decided to start running-jogging again after a break of about 5yrs. any advice on how to start with the least amount of pain? i,ve heard eamon coughlin say as slow as you can for as long as you can or what about run 5 mins walk 5mins. would twice a week be best to start with? thanks for any advice :confused:

    Check out the Couch to 5K program - it's a useful program for beginners. However, it takes nine weeks to build up to thirty minutes running. Perhaps you will want to progress quicker than that though.
