I got letter from Dublin city council saying I got awarded A1 category in student grant. It also provided Form to fill in about my bank or where something will be sent. Any idea how much or what it even is?

What does that mean? I mean those adjacent rates. And what does those numbers mean? is that payout per year or what?

Its the payout for the entire year. The rates depends on the distance from your home to your college. Have a look here.

    I live 15 min from college so I guess it's non-adj rate. So thats like 1250 / 3 = 416 Eur.
In beginning of each term I am paid 416 eur?

No idea when exactly they pay out but your grant will be split into 3 installments.

    On documents it says:
"will be paid by EFT in 3 instalments as early as possible in each term."
So like maybe september, December, and March or so?

Just to clarify this... I think it's less than €22k for special rate unless I'm wrong?!

Best case scenario. Oct more likely.Last year I received mine in january for 2 installments since there was a huge delay.

You could be right, was told this 2 years ago. If its 22k then even better.

    Hi Folks,
I did a bit of digging on this earlier this week:

A1 is the full grant as far as I know, I was awarded an A3 which is 50% maintenace grant and all fees covered. If you ring the Local Authority and ask them they will tell you specifically.

I had to ring twice though to get someone who could actually answer my question properly
