cork city counselling courses advice

    hi all,
    i am 29 years of age and have always seen this as what i want to do,(counselling)specifically addiction counselling,primaraly because of my own mispent youth,i feel the only way i can manage to study would be to work full time and study in the evenings,i am hoping to start next september,there is a four year degree course,that cit run that interests me,before that however i was looking at a two year diploma course in youth and community work in ucc,all evening study.again i am just looking for advice on my plans.

    but in the main the route i am planning,i am wondering what any of you more experienced folks would think of it,or am i way off the mark,any advice would be greatly appreciated.
