Can ebay seller get neg feedback I left her removed?

About 3 weeks ago I ordered a book about Finland from an ebay seller. When the book arrived, it was totally out of date. It was an old book, so the information was all wrong, wrong currency, wrong travel information, etc. The book was completely useless and the listing hadn't warned about that, so I said that I wanted a refund. The seller said if I sent the book back she'd refund me.

I sent the book back and 2 weeks later the seller was still claiming she hadn't recieved it. I didn't believe her. She has LOTS of negative feedback for not refunding people when they return things. Eventually I sent her an email saying that if she doesn't refund me by today, I'm leaving negative feedback and starting a paypal claim.

This morning, she hadn't responded to my messages, so I left negative feedback, saying that the book was unfit, the seller hadn't refunded me and was ignoring my messages and I was starting a paypal claim. However, then I checked my paypal account and saw that she'd refunded me just before I left the feedback.

I still feel that my feedback is justified as it took weeks and threats of getting paypal involved before she finally refunded me. However as she'd technically refunded me before I left the feedback, can she get it removed?

It is possible to get Feedback removed, but it's rare. There are a few rules that will warrant an immediate removal (profanity is one, posting a link is another). I don't think that this would be one, but there's nothing you can do about it anyway if it does.

Forget about it and move on.

eBay can, and do, remove feedback if it breaches their rules.

In this case, I would say unlikely, yes. Though nothing surprises me with eBay.

Why did you buy off a seller with so much negative feedback? I never would no matter what the price.

It is possible for you and the seller to mutually withdraw feedback. Happened to me a couple of years ago when a translation mixup meant I misinterpreted cash on collection as cash on delivery, I received negative feedback for non payment (the seller didn't offer PayPal as is common in Germany). Once I realised the mistake I paid and the seller offered to withdraw the feedback. The text of the feedback still shows up in my profile but doesn't have the red mark and doesn't deduct from my feedback score - I'm still at 100%.
