Just got a new 47" philips lcd tv. when watching sport i notice that in the full pitch view that ist hard to make out the players , numbers on their backs as its very fuzzy.

excellent picture when we get up close pictures.

Is this usual with a large screen ? would a 42" give an overall sharper picture?

    cheers

I'm no expert but I notice that players are blurred even on my 40" Sony LCD (whole pitch shots). That is why I got HD Sports. It makes a huge difference. Really sharp images. The refresh rate is very important when watching sports.
