Anyone on here got a golf lesson from Roger Yates, the pro at St.Annes Golf Club?

I've had a couple of lessons and the last few times i have gone out have played absolute crap, really bad from off the tee, iron shots to chipping. Usually it was one or the other but never three together. I think it's all probably in my head to be honest and maybe a break will do me more good then another lesson. I had a few lessons before but i had them all in quick succession which looking back was a mistake.

If you've had lesson or know of anyone who has had one i'd love to hear about. PM's welcomed too.

Got a couple of lessons off of rodger when he was the pro I. Macreddin, not today or yesterday.

He was a fair instructor and reasonable to deal with. I was only starting and totally useless. Now I have come on a bit since then and would classify myself as just useless ;)

You can always take a lesson and see what you think.

A friend of mine has gone to roger for many years since his south county gc days, and speaks very highly of him. This guy has gone from 7 handicap as a kid starting with yates, to +2 now, and still get lessons at st annes.

How much practise are you putting in following the lessons? If your just going straight out on the course without getting comfortable with the swing changes you'll struggle to play well as you lapse back into old habits or even a hybrid version of old and new...if you know what I mean.

    Always blame the pro :D

Lessons will put you back before you go forward, takes time to adjust and for your body to adjust.

    Practice practice practice
