Registered Post to UK?

    Hi,
I'm selling an item on ebay which will probably come close to €200 in value, its a processor so is small in size so would probably only cost €1.50 to send by normal post.

I checked an posts site but there's no information on registered post to the UK.

I don't fancy having to use a courier cause I have never used one and it'll probably be too expensive and put bidders off.

But because its ebay the seller has sole responsibility if the item is lost so I need to send it by registered post otherwise if the item is lost I will have lost the item and most likely lose the payment for it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

As far as I know, its about €2/€3 to register it. Tell them the amount it s valued at cos if you don't, they only give you a small amount in the case of it being lost.

Thanks, so you definitely can register it then? That's not so bad.

And realize that this is probably in the wrong forum, sorry

Also make sure you put a return address on the parcel in case of problems at other end.

If you go to calculate postage on their site it will give you the option to select registered post. I think if you can put it in a normal envelope it'll end up a little over a fiver
