Toptable free bottle of wine

    I booked the Rustic Stone for 8pm yesterday through www.toptable.com but my confirmation email didn't appear so I decided to phone the Restaurant and book directly. Unfortunately they only had a table at 9.15 pm which I had to accept. Anyway when I checked my email a few minutes later toptable had confirmed my booking for 8pm! I phoned the Rustic Stone back to cancel the 9.15pm and the guy told me that the always hold 2-3 tables back for toptable. To top it all off we got a free bottle of (very nice) house wine for booking through toptable.

    I was tempted to keep this to myself but it kinda goes against the whole spirit of bargain alerts!

    Cheers though curious if this is something all customers of toptable recieve or was it just complimentary for messing around your reservation?

    In fairness I think it was me that messed around with the reservation as I didn't let the Rustic Stone know about my booking through toptable when I first contacted them.
