i have applied for the grant (no word back yet, i applied very last minute), but on the form i only put down my mums information as i live with her and her and my dad are divorced.
Didnt really think about it at the time, but do you think this will affect me getting a grant or will they come looking for my dads information too?

any help appreciated, i would like to know in advance of getting notice if im likely to get a grant or not, 'cause if not i have to sort out my fees.

I'm in a similiar family situation. Parents are in the middle of a divorce and I live with mum + partner. We just put down my mother's income because he's not contributing anything at all. If he were to, I would have put it down.

If they want your dad's information, they should let you know :) Couple of people on here have said they've been contacted and asked for more information.

If you're worried I'd suggest calling them just to make sure!

You only include info on the parent you live with which would include maintenance from the other parent if relevant!

    Hi OP,

When I applied for the grant initially, I did the same as you and just wrote N/A in the section that applied to my father's income, etc.
The Co. co. contacted me and asked me for divorce papers and a sworn affidavit proving that my father contributed in no way.
They may not ask for that, but it might help to prepare those documents just in case.
    Best of luck.

My mother just had to get a stamped letter from the garda station stating that she was seperated and that my dad wasn't contributing. But they can ask for the weirdest things, this year they wanted two forms of proof that my father was dead!!
