Remote support recommendations?

A friend has his PC running slow, 100% CPU.
He does not want to bring it in to a shop, it's not physically broken.
I've got him to turn off Windows Indexing service, but there are so many things that could be the cause.
Anybody able to recommend someone whose service they have used?
I searched on the forums here first and the only thread ended with the moderator asking people not to pimp their own business :-)

Pity the old Enterprise Ireland forum is gone, that had a broad reach of enduser businesses and providers.

you want to take control of the machine yourself? Use Team Viewer, free and very good, send him a link to the quick support app in the downloads, he opens it, gives you the codes, your in, its that simple!

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc (or Ctrl+Alt+Del and click Task Manager) go to Processes tab and sort them by CPU usage. Print screen and post it here.

If it's not something fixable with a quick scan just re-install windows, he'd have it back up with all programs installed in a few hours rather than messing around trying to find a fix.
