    Hi,

Have been asked by a friend to check out & recommend a Flatscreen T.V.
I'm not in anyway up on what makes a good one, but have found this one that seems to get good reviews and is the right size and in the price range. Anyone got any views on this, can you recommend a better one?

    Requirements

    Size: 42"
    Price: €500 - €700
LCD/LED/Plasma? Dunno, which is best at this size?

Cheers and look forward to your input.

Its a nice tv, at that price the plasmas blacks will be far better than an lcd. An LED is out of that price range for the specs you need and its black levels probably still wouldnt be as good.

One thing to look at is energy consumption, plasmas are more expensive to run, that uses 250 watts and an equivalent lcd probably under 100. Also iof he plays loads of video games lcd may be better.

Thanks for that, much appreciated; have to go back to the drawing board tho as I just found out at the weekend that they need scart connections and that one doesn't seem to have any

It says it has 2 21 pin inputs, which is 2 scart cable inputs.

If they wanted to use more than 2 scart devices then just get a scart to component cable.
