First par round

Shot my first round of par today in castleknock off the whites, no real wind to speak of ! 4 birdies, 11 pars, 2 bogies, and a double . Need some lemon to take the smile off my face , that's it just had to share :D

Last official hc was 9.
Only play with mates now, so we keep our own hc with our own system, I'd say I could go back to club golf at about 6 now .
Having said that, I feel I learned a great deal today , I knew my game was coming together ,only said last week to the lads I would shoot a par round before the summer was out

Well done again, got to +2 back in 1999...

back into golf again after years away, if I can get putter going again like used to hope to one day shoot a Level Par round

Well done, it a serious achievement. I don't think anyone shoots a Par round without doing something to deserve it so fair play.

Had a 38 on the back nine there a few weeks ago ( Play off 12). Would you agree it is on the easy side - still great achievement.

Well done. Great achievement. Best I've ever shot is 74 although not in competition. Par is 69 in home club +5 but happy.

I was a member there a couple of years back , I've played it hundreds of times I know every hump and bump on the course , so I suppose if I was going to par a course , castleknock was going to be my first ! Although I will agree there are harder courses out there, it's not as easy as some people may think !

Cheers mate , I'm frameing that 50 with the ball and score card , just looking back on the score card , you shot a 42 on the back yourself, not to shabby mate :-)

Wow. Now there is a handicap I'll never see. Played off 4 for a good while but could never get to 3.
I could shoot 1 or 2 under and then go and get 10 point ones in a row. I would dearly love to have the consistency to get to 3, never mind +2!!!! Some handicap.
