    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Wow, very unusual. I don't think I've ever seen that car before. JDM only? Those side windows are remarkably similar to the E24, hofmeister kick included.

never seen it before and i thought i'd seen it all

It was on here before.....but It appears to be a new JDM car by the small digits on the D reg. Keep it original.....:) How long has the rear screen been broken? as hopefully the interior isnt damp or damaged....best of luck with it,,,very nice late 80s car........:)

wow you bought that? Excellent, now get it inside somewhere and get it dried out, bound to be lots of ewater in it. I'd have loved to buy it but alas no funding for toys. very cool in a bland horrible 80s kidn of way (which i strangely enjoy)

back window has been broken a good while and the rear speakers on the back shelf have had it:(

the back seat lower half is wet but a good valet should sort that:)

no real plans for it at the moment bar getting it inside and trying to get a back window for it , which should be fun:confused:

thanks for all the comments guys

Lovely car in an 80's way, best of luck with it, I love anything unusual like that. The digital dash just sets if off perfectly.

Best thing is to spend a while taking out the rear seats to dry the car out fully, actually it would be better to take out all seats, the carpet and possibly the door cards from the rear of the car as well. If its any way damp the car will be a haven for mould and rot once you get the back window on and its airtight.

This car has popped up on boards before. It’s not a Jap import in the traditional sense, as in it’s not a used aftermarket import. Apparently it was brought in new for an executive in Nissan Ireland (or whatever the importer is called)

(The above comments are subject to me having a vivid imagination when it comes to remembering past posts!!! )

My initial thoughts exactly. The wing mirrors also even look like ones fitted to contemporary BMW's.

I wonder what the story is with this car? Why was it off the road for so long?

That back window looks remarkable similar to the Civic MkIV STD Model (just lying back as oppose to flat).

Is the car the ET or DET version do you know?

Good to see it didn't get banger raced...
Back window could be fun to find, id guess it's been broken a few years.
That's the one in abbyfeale I posted back about 6 mths ago.
It's a nice bit of work to get that in good order, but it'd be good to see it running again.

    yep got it in abbeyfeale:cool:

back window is proving hard located tho.

havent done much more with it since tho

I suppose a window would have to come from the UK or Japan?

First thing I thought of too. I remember working close to Nissan Ireland's old place near the Long Mile Rd a few years back and there was an S-Class like yoke driven by one of the management. Wonder whatever became of it.

A lad in autoglass told me they could get/make a window for anything. Dunno how you'd be fixed with the heating elements though in a rear screen.

You should, some guys on there have a staggering amount of information built up about all sorts of strange vehicles. There's a nerd on there for all your automotive information needs, someone should at least be able to work out where to get on on that site.

Damn that's nice. It reminds me a lot of the Nissan Silvia was it? ... the one with the 'Heads up display' speedo? Cool looking motor ... genuinely different!

Edit: This is what I'm on about: nissan-silvia-k%27s.jpg

Silvias are nice too nissan made some very cool (in an 80s way) motors for a while.
They're a different beast to that leopard though, while the leopard got a smooth relaxed V6 they have (in their better spec versions that would match the leopard in spec) a more hooligan oriented 4 cylinder 1.8 16v turbo (CA18DET) and 2.0 16v turbo (SR20DET).

they got an even cooler 130ish brake non turbo 1.8 which is the one to buy, unlike the lads in the CT buying the over priced SR20's... why not buy the cheapist one you're going to rape with mods and swap in a cheaper RB20/25 ??

nothing as nice as an onivea though, they are a class clean motor ( front of silvia with the back of the 180sx )

Ah... basically no! The way to buy one if you wanted to fit an RB is with no engine. And I'm not going to "rape" anything either....

The hybrid you're talking about is a Sil80, 1via is a Silvia with 180sx pop-up lights front end. I have to totally disagree about the Sil80 being the nicest, to me it looks out of proportion, 1via looks ok but I'd still prefer a standard shape Silvia.

Speaking of which here's a rather amusing ad for them, since I've already posted some Japanese ads.

oniva is how they say and afaik i still have pictures from the retro Topgear and similar mags and how they all slagged its half cooked styling which is not only extremely lazy but compared to the other cars of the range wasn't exactly exciting ( looking back i know its silly, the 300zx is bland, skyline great and bigger luxobarges like this and the gloria/cefrio are cooler then a good freezer )

i personally like it just because it was different, the old metal yard behind Ringsend libary, their was a lad there who had one and a normal 180sx ( amung other nissans/mitzo's of yesteryear ) and I was star stuck conpared to the normal boring lancers... escorts and run of the mill eurotrash we got at the time.

i didn't mean you overly modding it but i just feel so many try so hard when it comes to these, their popular and thats great, their fun reliable but their perfectly fine looking as is... Lads spending 1000's on wide body kits, Spacers, overly deep dishes and Then and only then getting more poke from the yoke is mental... not that it needs too much more though. im sure you've seen it and its pure madness. Im all for folks doing their own beat, doing what they think its nice, but sometimes ( mainly the celtic tiger ) it was overkill, bar say, motorsport/drifting where its the culture to overkill it.

i just think... if you're going to build/tune/mod one, buy a shed and complete save/resto it... don't let people destroy the minters... Please :(

also OP, any more info and the Car in question, i'm extremely interested.
