If you want Dutch beer thats actually made in Holland then Tesco have Dutch Gold and Bavaria for €1 a can. Both better than the Cork brewed Heineken.

According to cans I have at home, it's brewed and canned in Holland?

Bavaria is 1€ in most places tbh.
    Whether its a 4 pack 4€, 8Pack 8€, 12 Pack 12€, or even an 18Pack 18€(Saw in Dunnes yesterday :) )
As a student bav is all i drink.
I got a 12 pack for 11.99€ before in spar, cheapest ever.

Why do people feel the need to derail every single Bargain Alert Beer Thread?

If someone posted a Blu-Ray ray alert for Goodfellas, you wouldn't get away with posting 'Nah, that's rubbish, get Mean Streets instead'

I will stock up in Heineken and pass on the Dutch Gold slop, thanks.

Except recommending Dutch Gold over Heineken is the same as recommending 'Mickey Blue Eyes' over 'Goodfellas'

    Nice alert OP

The 4.3% heineken here in cans & bottles is brewed and bottled/canned in holland. It is most likely the same original brew diluted down more, the 5% is most probably diluted too.

Only the kegs of 4.3% heineken here are brewed in Ireland.

Might be worth doing proper blind tests on beers. Heineken IS a cheap beer, just like the others, its weird people regard it as "premium" since once upon a time it was always overpriced (ads don't come cheap).

Its like beamish has a stigma attached to it since its cheaper than guinness, but these days beamish is usually rated better in awards & reviews. If beamish had as many ads they might have to charge as much as guinness, and then suddenly some might try it. Its bizarre to think of the thousands for guinness drinkers out there who have never even once tasted beamish or other stouts, yet many still have opinions on them.

The whole 24 + 1 is a bit annoying :pac:
6 for €6 would have made more sense, but they do have dodgy calculators I guess

The 1 can is for drinking if you are walking home with a slab.
    It's thirsty business :p

    .

Hey a lot of people like Mickey Blue Eyes, and Hugh Grant got paid far more than any cast member of Goodfellas. He's one of the most 'premium' actors in history

But its not for me, nor are the Dutch offerings when it comes to taste.

Same way I can't stand Guinness or Beamish or any stout offering. Though I have tried them all, as I make a mean stout stew and had to test for the best balance.

Ha I prefer just to get the 5, I feel like I'm 'winning', don't have to buy in bulk to get the value, allowing me to get an assorted beer choice for €24 which normall would not be on offer.

Got some czech beer zetac for €1 each in tesco also

I was looking for this earlier and could only find 8 cans for €12! Had to settle for 6 bottles of Perlenbacher instead! Times are rough!:(
