Question re FIS while on maternity

I'm currently in receipt of 47 euro FIS per week based on having one child. I had another child in May of this year and I am on maternity leave until mid October and I received 262 euro per week maternity benefit. My wages are not topped up by my employer.

I was under the impression that I could not apply in respect of the second child until my claim is up for renewal in mid November but on reading the FIS leaflet online today, I noticed a part saying that payment may increase if you have another child.

My question is do I use the standard application form to apply for the increase? I tried telephoning the Department this afternoon but after 25 minutes on hold without speaking to anyone, I gave up. If it is the case that I use the usual application form, do I state my income as maternity benefit only or will they base it on what I was earning before I went out on maternity?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
