Not another one thinking of changing :-(

No, never used one and never will. If there was one thing I could change in the game it would be to ban the long putter.

A lot of players have found new competitive life after switching to the long putter and Mickelson may be the next. He's only 41 years old and if he adds a couple more majors to the four he already has, Mickelson would move into that very small group considered to be among the best ever to play the game. The long putter could be the boost he needs to get there.
I think most people consider him to be in that small group already.

I wouldn't. He needs more majors to be in that group.

I wouldn't ever get one of those putters though. Too difficult to fit into the car.

As the article said, Furyk took out his, compared it to Mickelson's which was an inch and half longer.

Don't mind people using them really, but never thought Phil would :( ... Think he should go back to the blade putter tbh

I used one for a few years, about 5 years ago. Never suffered from the yips but tried it to see if it improved my holing out of 5 to 10 footers and it definitely did. Sometimes found it hard to control on a windy day but otherwise found it easy enough to get used to. Finally got rid of it last year in case I was tempted to go back to it.

Jim's was all wonky, if you straightened it out it would be about the same lenght.

    I'll get my coat...
