    Saw those in Rome.

    Hate to see aeroplanes like that. I wonder what became of the airforce , how much is left etc

    I wonder if some of the Libyan AF Soviet Bloc aircraft made their way to the US for clandestine operations?

    I doubt it. The US had their pic of ex-Soviet aircraft post 1991. EG the Moldovan Mig-29's that they bought as well as the operational German Mig-29's.
    They even have a number of USAF personnel in Romania flying Mig-21's

    That reminds me , years ago ( late 80's I think ) I saw a couple of USN Kfir's at Oceana NAS , foxed me at the time I thought ' what the hell are Mirages doing over here ' I had to have a good look at them before I realised what they were
