Folks Moving up from Wexford to Dublin, and i was on the phone to the Social welfare today regarding, changing my payment from Wexford to dublin and the lady on the phone said just go into your Local Social Welfare office.

The closest one to me where im moving too, would be Tallaght but, on their website it says i would have to go in Town to Bishop St.

Im Just wondering could i go into Tallaght or would i have to go to Town.

I recently did the same, just went to my local one where i was moving to. Town was never mentioned. I'd try Tallaght first if i were you tbh

    Thanx very much Mate.

Can i ask you, did it take long to switch over? Like could you collect it that week, or were you waiting weeks?

There was a few days delay with mine because my old office never transferred it over and everytime i went down to the new one with some form they wanted something else!
You'll need to bring a utility bill with your new address, or if you are moving in with someone, their utilty bill and a letter confirming you are living there as well as photo id and your Social Welfare card.
