A Nato jet has crashed into a fighter plane from the Lithuanian air force, officials in Vilnius say.

Both pilots survived the mid-air collision in northern Lithuania, according to reports.

The Nato fighter was reportedly flown by a French pilot.

Lithuanian media reports said the French pilot managed to land his plane, while the Lithuanian pilot ejected and landed in Rekyva lake.
