TV show contributors/panellists fees

There are a number of consistent panellists, particularly on the Vincent Browne show for example, who regularly appear.

What is the financial arrangement for these guests?

Are they paid fees, negotiated through managers, (wouldnt fancy trying to manage Constantine) or are they appearing free gratis to promote their own agendas/public profiles?

Also, are guests plugging their latest creative endeavours on the Late Late Show (watch out for Bertie Ahern when he launches his anticipated book of fables) paid large fees or is the appearance made free as part of a big advertising campaign? Surely Dawn thingy wasnt paid for her self indulgent outing on the LLS?

For Late Late show, they generally don't receive money directly but flights, car hire and driver and hotel room will be provided for some.

People advertising such as a new book do not receive this
And realy most people on the show don't get these expenses

Here is something more for the LLS
On average, the station said, there are 30 guests/contributors/musicians per show which gives a grand total of around 1,100 guests per calendar year.

There are usually 36 shows in each season and, RTE said, the average cost per guest is €98.

I "think" I remember reading somewhere about a footballers wife/plaything/girlfriend/other etc. being paid in the thousands to appear on Brendan O connors show earlier in the year, or was I mistaken?

If you're talking about a movie star promoting a film, they're generally paid by the studio as a part of their contract to do publicity. Which means that they do these shows at no extra cost to the show itself. And that's the only way the LLS show etc could get anything near A-listers.
