    Hi guys,
want to brew my own beer :) ... something I thought of doing for years, and hey why not now.
I have seen kits online. Have also heard some shops in dublin sell them. But no clue where.

So can anyone help me out and suggest a good kit to buy? :)

    cheers.

Most of the shops are online. There is a walk in shop in Rathmines that I have used and think is good. They answered a most of my newbie questions. www.mybeerandwine.ie.

    www.homebrewwest.ie galway
    www.thehomebrewcompany.ie laois

both are super websites and have walk in shops now one in galway one in laois. If starting out you cant beat a bit of face time so id say get into the nearest shop initially then once set up you can buy supplies online.

Yep, agree with the two lads. I bought my starter kit from HomeBrewWest and have walked in to My Beer & Wine. No complaints about either. I have bought from one of the other sites (for my 2nd brew - still fermenting) and couldn't recommend them, but all those mentioned above get consistently good reviews.

Don't think there is anything else to add other than some health food shops sell them.

One bit of advice, ignore the instructions that come with the kit. Sure, read them but they are usually rubbish. Read these instructions instead.

I like the Home Brew West retail store. Just opened this week, they are still shifting stuff about, but they are trading, and they are offering discounts to people who use the retail store.

Great people to talk to too, loads of tips.

Great to see the HBW guys doing so well. I remember when they first started out and now they act as wholesalers to other start ups around the country.

I've used both Homebrewwest and mybeerandwine.

both have been great to use.

Looking for a decent 6th brew now.
