Hey! Had the same problem! I wouldn't just ignore it, I damaged my rotator cuff in a similar respect thought nothing of it, then my shoulder dislocated a week later in the middle of my lat pull down set. Give it a rest at least with the lat pull down or anything that puts your shoulder in that position! Trust me its been about two years since it first happened my shoulder has popped out loads of times had to get key hole surgery and its still not perfect! look after it!

thanks man, would you recommmed see doctor? also my work i do involves alot of lifting and pulling manual labouring in a factory!!!

The rotator cuff muscles are a group of 4 small muscles that go from your shoulder blade to the head of your humerus, their tendons form the rotator cuff.
Their function is to support the shoulder joint while larger muscles, such as deltoids, pec's lat's etc act on it.

There's prob not enough info to tell whether it is or is not a rotator cuff injury, see a physio or sports therapists

Might be useful to talk to a physio.

In my experience a physio will get you moving as soon as they can. But will tell you what you can and can't do.
