Your feeding abit late for the first but if there was duck there it will keep them!! as much as you think yourself! put it in the margins of the pond with some in the water!!

put the feed in water that 5 to 8 inches deep so that ducks can get at and not the rats......

I would not over feed. Just a bucket or two every day in the shallow parts. enough to keep them around. but ar there duck on it allready or are you trying to attract some on to it?

me personally i would never feed above the water line as it attracts crows and then the attention of passer bys. i scatted an 8 stone bag of barley around the edge of the pond in about 6 to 9 inches of water. We shoot our ponds about every 10 days so on the next visit it gets another 8 stone of barley. There are three of us that shoot together and have 2 ponds, and an bag of barley cost about €10 . The way we work it is that we bring a bag of barley in turn so that thakes the pressure of. Whole barley is far superier that rolled barley as it sinks to the bottem and does not float to the edge as much and feed the local crow population
