    Hey all,

I spend a lot of time traveling and I'm rarely in one place for very long. I'm looking for some sort of routine to keep fit that can be done anywhere. So far the only things I know of are pushups, situps and running.

Since I can't be carrying a weight rack around are there any alternatives in addition to the above I can add to my routine?

    Thanks

Resistance bands, and/or a TRX w/ door mount seem like they'd be perfect for ya.

I was going to say pull ups but it may be hard to find a good place to do them but what you can do is inverted rows. All you need is a table that you can lie under and grab the top by either side (or the top if the table is to wide). Put your feet up on a chair to make them harder.

EDIT: I found a clip on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKYbggwP_lw&feature=related

Youtube has lots of hits for hotel room workout

I have seen lads bench pressing beds and doing dips on chairs etc. Many hotels have heavier chairs than usual, and sturdier fittings, I have done fingertip pullups on thick doorframes, or you can jam something under the door when it is open and do them on the door itself. The TRX mentioned is better though, or you can make your own check out the simple "The 15 Min. Door Gym " about 3/4 way down this page

If you are strong enough you might want to do different variations of pushups, and stuff like one legged squats.

Thanks for the advice all, mainly looking for stuff I can do anywhere without equipment.

So far I have pushups, situps, squats and dips. Pullups to a lesser extent because most of the places I stay won't have a sturdy enough door/frame so looking for some sort of alternative!

    Thanks again!

Some of them require equipment, but she has lots of workouts that require no equipment.
