I've never had a problem with ordering or receiving of goods from EhobbyAsia, although some people have been plagued with problems and point blank refuse to shop with them.

I've ordered quite a bit from them - everything has arrived in tip top shape, and not had a single problem. The vast majority of stuff I have ordered has been small parts etc. I have ordered pistols from 'em in the past - all you have to do is make sure that it's firing under the legal limit (1 joule; firing <328fps with a 0.20g BB).

Anything coming from outside of the EU is liable for VAT and import duty, so yes you will be paying extra (on top of the list price). Typically the whole charges will be about 25% of the total order value (including shipping) - this covers customs, VAT and all associated admin fees.

Now...if you're not certain that the pistol is under the limit, then you are also running the risk of it being confiscated and destroyed. Customs have the right to send it off to Garda Ballistics, and if it's found to be over the legal limit, then that will be the last you see of it.

So in summary - I've had no issue with Ehobby; but the main thing I've heard from people who have had problems is that if you (customer) have any problems, they don't want to hear about it. Period.

    Inari pretty much covered it.

When there's no problems they are great to work with, but if there's a problem they are utterly useless.
That though is the risk you run with ordering online.

THe most important points you need to take note of is.
Ensure the gun is within the legal limit. Customs do not accept any statements that it will be downgraded as they have no assurances for it.
If it is over the limit they will hold and possibly destroy it.
If they do hold it you can arrange to have it sent back to Ehobby, but check with ehobby and customs on how to do this.
If you do get it returned possibly ehobby could downgrade it for you but you will probably incur a fee for that.

You will be charged VAT and Duty.

You should make sure to keep tabs on the delivery and get in customs asap if they hold it.

I tend to avoid ordering any guns from outside the EU as its a bit more tricker and if you have problems you tend to be left on your tod. But sure good luck with it.
