Hi guys my 2000 nissan Almera just won't start up. I was driving it today and it was perfect but I jumped in it 10 mins ago and it just won't start

When I put the key in all the ignition lights come on but when I actually turn the key to start the engine nothing happens (engine doesnt even make a sound)

I don't think it's the battery cause all my lights and everything are working, I only put a tenner in it tody so it has plenty of petrol.

any ideas what it could be?

Turn on the headlights and try to start. If they go off then its the battery

hi, that's exactly what happened. The lights kept going off even the interior light wouldnt stay on.

I have the car on warranty, should i tell the garage or just replace it myself?

Very unlikely they'd cover the battery. They may be able to source a replacement for less money than you.

Price one in your local motor factors and then approach the garage.

There is the possibility that the battery just needs some deionized water adding, or that a faulty alternator is the cause. More often than not its the battery though.
