    Was talking to someone who says he heard 2 or 3 of the ATR-42 models are off at the end of October leaving 1 or 2 for the Donegal PSO route.

    Seems the Russias are banning the still quite common AN-24 regional turboprops and the ATR-42 second hand market has been absolutely hopping in recent weeks....they being much newer and safer.

    Dunno if they are getting special cold hardening like these ones but I don't think Nordavia fly shorthaul to/in Siberia that much.

    Makes sense. The loadings on any other RE route I've been on recently has been too high for a 42; if they ran more services on some of them they might be workable but its probably not viable.

    It'll be the Kerry PSO route from later this year obviously. Looking there I see they're dropping the Donegal-Glasgow flights at the same time as Logan take the PSO and Logan are going to run that route instead...
