Go to the main page on the site and search for your town/city. There's plenty of restaurants there for Galway anyway.

Must be blind, I can't seem to find the Irish restaurants either. What ones are on the list for Galway please?

Search function on this website is awful. I can see that there are some Cork restaurants in the entire restaurant list on the homepage but I can't for the life of me get a Cork search to work, it just brings up places in Scotland!

i got it to show irish ones by putting in 'cork' and setting it to show 800 results

That's cool, thanks OP, hope this isn't a scam just to get our info for dodgy data warehouses. :)

This may be a bargain, but note that it is not valid on Fri. and Sat. for most if not all the restaurants.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,959 ✭✭✭✭scudzilla

Card arrived this morning and valid until Nov 11th

Hi, I know this thread hasnt been commented on in about a month but I wanted to warn people that some restaurants listed dont take the card even if you call up and book a table and mention the card as specified on the rules. I have tried on 4 separate occasions to use the card, obviously in 4 different restaurants, and it has only been accepted in 1. Just a warning as it doubles the cost of what you expected to pay.
I called and spoke with tastecard and they investigated each restaurant that I was unable to use the card in and came back to me to say that the staff had not been informed of what to do with the card but they would inform their staff now. I did not even get an apology from tastecard, I know the card was free but so far I have had to pay out more than it would have cost me to buy the card.

I was travelling to cork for a few days so contacted Tastecard via email as I couldn't see a list of restaurants either. You have to type 'Cork,Ireland' (with no space) into the search engine. It worked for me. There aren't loads but try following this link:

    http://www.tastecard.co.uk/search.php

    Hope it works!:)

My family live in Ireland and they emailed the Taste Card Team (follow link)

    http://www.tastecard.co.uk/contact.php

Explaining that they didn't have a post code, gave their name and address and requested a card . They got a quick response and received the card a week or so later.

I signed up for something like this in dublin about 10 years ago, after I did all the restaurants decided it was a bad deal and pulled out. Had exactly 1 half price meal for 2 out of it.
