    hi all
i've just finished my law degree and i am heading to australia. thinking long term residence, like living the rest of my life down there. i would like to become a lawyer and was wondering if anybody had any information on the difficulties of getting into the profession there. is the road to becoming a solicitor or barrister the same as it is here? would the first eight years as a barrister be as difficult down there as it is here, regarding finding work and making money?? and also the chances of getting hired in legal offices on a twelve month visa??? i would be starting off on the twelve month visa and seeking residency after that. the australian law sites dont contain much information. also is there regular training places available for graduates, not like it is here at the moment?

    i'd appreciate your help

    thanks.
