Anyone know is it possible to remove Georgian bars from double glazed windows or will I need to replace the glass units?
    Thanks

It's possible, but not sure if its practical, the units are sealed with Butile,( black sticky stuff ) around the edges, so that would have to be cut away, then the glass would have to be cleaned, before re-sealing, if they are Argon filled units that would also have to be replaced. The spacer bars would also need to be replaced. It would probably not be done on site, so you would have to remove the units and have no glazing until job done.
I imagine the cost would be close to the cost of replacing with new units.
Ring a D/G supplier locally, ( golden pages--glazier/glass, ) and see if they will give you a quote.
