in next couple weeks am looking to get supplies for an event on at my local club, so i need burgers, baps, salads, chicken burgers, sliced cheese, chips, curry etc etc...

so where would be the best place to go? is there a cash adn carry i can just walk into and buy or would it be best to use the supermarkets?

    cheers

Unless you need really large quantities you are much better off going to a supermarket - Aldi/Lidl really would be fine for this. You usually have to have a business account with Cash n Carry anyway, maybe the club already has one?

Are you doing it to raise funds on the food? If not, maybe consider getting someone with a catering trailer to be onsite for the day or ask a local bar/cafe to come and provide the food and either you pay them (if you are not charging people at the event for the food) or they charge the people at the event themselves. Might be less hassle for similar or no cost?

Hi Declan, there's a thread in the main biz board for your query. Hopefully the link below works.

If you have a little time on your hand -

Go to local butcher for all the meat products - tell him you'll display his name.

Aldi / Lidl for the burger buns

Musgraves for sauces, cheese, napkins, plastic cutlery etc etc. - You'll need id from the club and a couple of invoices from other suppliers to get a musgraves card.
