Help with rent allowance and deposit

I'm looking for some advice on this please. Me and my partner have been renting our house for 7 years, the last 2 years have been on rent allowance due to losing our jobs. We are desperate to move house. We won't get our full deposit back as we have a few things wrong with the house that is our fault. What I need to know…

I'm looking for some advice on this please.

Me and my partner have been renting our house for 7 years, the last 2 years have been on rent allowance due to losing our jobs.

We are desperate to move house. We won't get our full deposit back as we have a few things wrong with the house that is our fault. What I need to know is whether we can get help to move from the health board by way of help with the first months rent or deposit as we can't afford the guts of possibly €2K?

For it to be 2k, I presume you mean it would be for the first month and 1 month of a deposit. That's pretty much the highest rate of rent allowance from what I can tell one this webpage:
http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/supplementary_welfare_schemes/rent_supplement.html

It also suggests you have a minimum of 2 kids and that you are living in one of the Areas of Dublin which pays the highest rate of rent allowance.

Yep I have two kids and I live in Fingal. So all I need to do is ask the CWO and see what she says basically?
