Recording from TV?

Ok, so got a Foxsat Freesat recorder which covers all UK stations and any of those that I want to record.

However, I also have an aerial for Saorview connected to a Saorview compatible TV, (no box, just TV). What is cheapest and easiest way to record one of the Saorview stations from the TV?

    Thanks.

Depending on the features of the TV, it may be able to record to a USB drive plugged into it.

Thanks for that desaparecidos, had thought of that but it says nothing in the manual and it does not seem to have a USB port. It is a Samsung 46" flat screen.

Just noticed that it has a USB socket but it says it is for up-loading software upgrades, so not sure if I could use that or not..

Just buy a cheap saorview box €49,99 in Argos and attach a hard drive. That way you can watch whatever you want on the TV and record the terrestrial channel of your choice at the same time. The extra remote will be a pain , but you won't need to use it unless you're recording something, or playing something back on it.
