Is the sound fcuked for anyone else or is it my Sky box?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,236 ✭✭✭Patser

Full speed derby so far, little skill on show though.

And then Hunt goes on a good run.....

A good few empty seats on show at Villa Park too, not great for an early season derby match although it is a very early Kick off.

Ouch. Clash between Herd and the post.

    Ouch.

Herd header onto the post - unfortunately no ball involved - he just headed the post hard. Looks nasty.

    "Let him off that one"
"Just don't do it again". :) (Herds pass to Hennessy)

Given, Dunne, Ireland, Clark, Doyle, Ward, Hunt - he'd want to be there

Foley is on the bench and don't forget that there's a very good chance that Stearman will declare for us too. Oh, and there's still a chance for O'Hara too :pac:

    Ooohhh!! So close Heskey!

Jaysus N'Zogbia can control a ball and Gabby got some of his old mojo back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,973 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Jayz, I was certain that was in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,236 ✭✭✭Patser

    Wolves responding well.

It's a fairly open game this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

    Given's groin could be crocked...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,973 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Doyle should have taken a pop

Especially considering the cross he put in, even Doyle would have struggled to reach that himself,

    Great work from Ward.

    Petrov is just average.

In fairness, all your players look pretty average so far.

Great run by Petrov but needs to do something better with it.

Bent is anonymous in this game. Has he touched a ball.

    Shockingly poor match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

One of the worst 45 mins of football I've seen in a while.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

    0-0 HT.

I can see why Villa Park is empty. Two sh!t teams playing sh!t football.

Villa's only plan seems to be to give it to Agbonlahor.

Ward is very dangerous when he goes on a run. Seems like he has no faith in his strike ability. Always crosses.

    Shockingly poor match.

Just 2 teams cancelling each other out.

Both sides are pretty much playing 4-2-4 formations with neither sides' midfields wanting or able to hold and control the ball. Instead it's hoof it to the wings and hope a moment of magic happens.

Bent is simply standing on the peno spot waiting to pounce but there're no decent crosses coming in. Agbonlahor is being well matched by Stearman but I've a feeling he'll get 2-3 runs on him second half. N'Zogbia drifts into game, does something neat and then spends 10 minutes reflecting on it. Heskey's the one that wants the ball the most but he's hardly the creative spark you want.

As for Wolves you could substitute Fletcher, Doyle, Hunt and Jarvis into that list above.

    Better start from Villa.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,236 ✭✭✭Patser

Villa have switched up a gear now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Stephen Hunt is just so brainless.

Villa should throw Ireland on, he loves these kind of games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Much, much better half, Villa all over them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,236 ✭✭✭Patser

    Jaysus!

What do Villa have to do to score. Gabby, Dunne and Herd all close!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,464 ✭✭✭Ronan Raver77

Come on Villa...What Steven Ireland saw when he looked up into the stands from the Aston Villa bench

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

How many chances does Nzogbia need to even get on target?

Heskey's looking tired, bring on Marc or Ireland.

Edit: Instead it's Barry Bannon for N'Zogbia!!

That should have been MArc Albrighton surely

In Soviet Russia tired gets Heskey.

Looks like little genius Bannan is coming on.

    Zog off.

Villa have gone back to sleep.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,236 ✭✭✭Patser

Just on BBC live feed there, Luke Young has signed for QPR. Just as well Herd is having a good game (heading posts not included)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Ireland needs to get out of Villa if the likes of Delph and Bannan are going to be ahead of him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,236 ✭✭✭Patser

C'mon McLeish, half the team look knackered.

MArc or Ireland on for Heskey

    Makoun for Petrov

    Edit: Here's Marc for Delph

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Wolves should have had a peno.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Lucky boy Herd, looked even worse second time.
