How can you call yourself an introvert when you started a thread in AH?

Depends who I am around. For some reason I tend to be quite extroverted around quiet people, I think it's to make up for the lack of talking they do so the situation doesn't become awkward. However, I find some people kinda intimidating and if they make me uncomfortable, I become more introverted. I'm also introverted around people I don't really like because I'm afraid I'll say something very offensive otherwise.

Im probably more of an introvert.

I can chat away to someone in a one on one situation but if I'm in a group of people I'll usually stay quiet enough unless theres a someone there I know well.

I think I'm to mannerly to actually manage to speak amongst a biggish group of people. I don't like cutting across people and I don't like getting cut across so if thats happening I just cant be fecked with it. So I usually end up sitting there silent not knowing what to say to anyone. At that point I'll usually quietly slip away to another quiet pub, order a pint, chat to the barman and see how long it takes for anyone to realise I'm gone. :D
Nothing wrong with being happy in your own company or prefering to listen than talk but when people are expecting you to be as loud as them or talking about people/things you don't know about it can be an awkward situation. Makes me very self concious.
Sometimes I'll meet someone and there is just a total block in communication, can't think of what to say and just feel awkward.

You are a social connector - you know a ton of people
While you aren't a wild extrovert, you are a great talker
You are a fantastic storyteller, and you keep everyone laughing

Extroverted in informal social situations but funnily enough I detest things like public speaking and doing presentations.

Got 60% extrovert in that test

In the middle! I am a bit of both really depends. I am more introverted than I am extroverted but when people get to know and when I am out I tend to get a bit more extroverted when I am with people who know the real me and I am myself with them but generally I am kind of the quiet, shy and reserved person but could talk for Ireland or not talk at all sometimes. I don't have the gift of the gab though. I like my own company but like to have company too but like my own space and independence and wouldn't always be dependent on people depending.

According to the quiz this is me:

You Are 50% Extrovert, 50% Introvert

You're a bit outgoing but also a bit reserved

90% extrovert on that test. That's about right. :D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Extroverts and introverts are the same personality type; introverts and extroverts enjoy other peoples company equally as much, however an extrovert will seek it out more.

You can't be a certain % extrovert and a certain % introvert, since the're the same personality type! You can score highly on the extrovert scale which obviously makes you an extrovert but if you score low on the scale you'r not an introvert because you'r not that personality type.

    ENFJ

I wonder how familiar people are with the concept of introvert. I get the feeling most people (BOARDIES EXCEPTED OF COURSE) think it just means you are shy.

80% introvert, 20% extrovert. Sounds about right but changes a bit. Depends on my mood and who I'm with, shyer with people I don't know that well.

I got 100% introverted on that test! :pac: I didn't think the percentage would be quite so high, but I am definitely an introvert. I'm quiet, a big thinker and I'm the one everyone turns to when they just want someone who will listen.

Don't think Introversion and shyness are quite the same thing, I have a really low, quiet voice which most people interpret as shyness when it isn't

80% Introvert. Yup, bang on. Pretty obvious from my huge post count. :p
    I'm improving though.

    90% extroverted...Seems fairly right to me :D

Seems the older I get the more extroverted I become. Was always an outgoing person and never shy, but used to get easily embarrassed or I could be intimidated at times by someone with more confidence etc than myself.

Nowadays after a few years down in college I find that I'm starting to build a shítbrick of confidence which only fuels my natural talkative and outgoing habits!

    100% introverted for me
