IMO, I like the fact that I don't have to wait until 5 in the morning for a reply due to the lack of Americans...

    You?

I love boards, they are so easy to cut, and you can build anything with them.

For some odd reason I love when I and another poster simultaneously thank a post.

You click thanks, and their name magically appears at the same time.

I always feel a brief moment of affinity, and in my head we give each other a virtual high-five.

There's some quite funny people on here.

When you read a post that's absolutely insane or prejudiced or such and you know all hell's about to break loose.

When you disagree with someone but they give you well-thought out arguments that they present to you in a reasonable manner, instead of jumping down your throat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭Teyla Emmagan

Gives me somewhere to hide in work all day. I would go off my head otherwise.

Its for anything and everything, unless there's another forum. But even if there is, the mods just let it slide most of the time.
Well thats my take on it anyway.

Sorry to go bursting your bubble, but I think it's just that the "thanks from" bar updates when you hit the thanks button so those thanks could have come seconds or even minutes before, depending on how long the page is loaded. Sorry brah!

I love that every so often a Thread starts and comes to life and basically takes over the forum (and my life) Threads like Feeky Magee, Ciara and Bryan, I just killed my dog, Man Gets Hit by a Train...etc.

These flashes of brilliance keep me going when the next PS/Traveller/Foreigner/Dole bashing or recession thread begins.

It's says what can't be published in other media and you get to know what other people really think when they are beyond arms reach. It's healthy for society to understand how people really feel.Other media leaves a lot unsaid.

Also nice to be in the company of so many like minded, socially awkward, humorous individuals.

Personal issues because sometimes other people's problems make me feel better

Bargain alerts because I like spending money

Adverts.ie to sell the crap I didn't really need to buy in the first place

The Mac forum because I own one

The games forum because I play them.

After Hours for when I'm bored.
