Hi my polo keeps jerking when i drive it and seems to have lost a lot of power. i replaced one of the coil packs. this fixed the problem for about 3 hours and then it went back to its old tricks again.

    any ideas ?

Is it stuttering a lot as you drive? Any engine management system warning lights on? It could be exhaust gas recirculation. May need diagnostics to tell you exactly where the problem is.

ok i took out the new plug while the car was running and it had no effect on the engine so either this new plug is faulty or there is some problem with that coil. any ideas ?

its a 3 cyclinder car and when i took out the 2 other plugs the engine went really bad so them ones are working.

Switch the coil packs & see if it starts to miss fire on the cylinder which you put the suspect coil pack on.

could be another coil pack gone.
they tend to all go at roughly the same time* in my experiance

(*same time being weeks to months apart)
