I need to get a snow foam lance and priced one through cleancar.ie at 65euro. Does any other place have them, bricks and mortar store that have them cheaper then this?

My budget is about 45euro, considering I would have to buy the foam too. Argos doesnt seem to have them, would Halfords or B&Q have them?

You may find something cheaper but trust me..They will compare to these.. I have one and they are super in the amount of foam they produce from the little amount of product used..

    €59 in detailer.ie

I got one from detailer.ie and the hyperwash he recommended. Never really found it great to be honest, use it as a prewash.

I only use it basically as a pre wash/soak.
I also use buckets and shampoo specifically for washing.

Afaik you have to buy the snowfoam too and add that to mixture of water and hyperwash for proper foam! Also use it as prewash. Find it quite good

Its cheap because it probably won't arrive like half my order from detailer.ie didn't arrive and he dosent answer the phone or reply to pm's, email's or voice mail and if you ask him on Facebook for an update on where your stuff is he will delete your posts. Customer service at its best eh.

Seen this on ebay; 25l of snowfoam for £40 delivered. LinkThat's a lot of washes and you only use a syringe of the liquid at a go.

I was waiting about the same amount of time, cancelled my order. At least I think I did, got no reply to the cancellation request, very poor.

I used the one from auto bright and its very good, would highly recommend it delivery to Ireland came to £15 when I ordered last Christmas that was for 5l of Supa snow foam and the foam lance.

    Lance
    Foam
    Package

    EDIT:

That stuff looks alright but with a dilution ratio of 50:1 its almost the same as getting the more concentrated stuff like the snowfoam above that has a dilution ratio of 200:1
That 5l of snowfoam is equivalent to 20l of the ebay stuff, I know when you factor in shipping the ebay one is £40 and the smaller is £30

But 25l of the 200:1 concentrate is £70 delivered and would last forever!

Maybe? a quote from the ad. I would ask the seller their opinion on it. There might be a better tried and tested product out there though.

For anyone wondering whats going on with appointments & orders, here is a quote from Andy @ detailer on another site he sponsors.
    Lads,

There's a sticky post at the top of the forum with as much explanation as you need. I posted last week that I will be out of office for the foreseeable, and that hasn't changed. It's not by choice, and I haven't 'gone under' either - as stated last week, I've had a tough time with some health issues recently and I am unable to work. I still don't know when I will be able to. I'm not sitting at home with my feet up, so don't be too jealous :(

As a sole trader, I don't get a dime when I'm not working, so as soon as I can, I'll be back to work. I haven't been ignoring anyone, I'm always logged into the forums on my computer and the old man uses it from time to time to browse the different sites. My internet access has been limited recently, and probably will be for a while.

Orders are still going through and being fulfilled. Again, those of you with anything outstanding please e-mail andy@detailer.ie and it'll be looked into it straight away. There were two this morning, and they were spoken to. To fill you all in on the story, so the rumours stop, the orders came in and 1 item on each of the orders were out of stock - emails were sent (from our end) to offer replacements/upgrades and we hadn't heard back. I'm not sure if the emails got lost in cyberspace, or ended up in spam folders (common) - but it's sorted now. Stock is still being ordered in regularly, and everything is fine on this front. To clarify an important point, no money is taken from the payee account until the order is shipped. This has always been the case.

CityDeals will be refunded by GroupOn. I am genuinely gutted by this. I've done well with these deals and made some excellent contacts and returning customers from the promotion. I'm not sure of the exact number done/outstanding but I got through most of them. Anyone who had an appointment should have got a text last week to advise of this, as well as communication from GroupOn (if they decided to send it, they were debating!). To clarify an important point, I do not get paid for unused vouchers. I claim the few bob when I get the voucher.

Thanks for the calls and texts over the last while, and the well wishes on here. Very much appreciated.

oh boo hoo. a sticky on "some" forum does not make it ok.
"To clarify an important point, no money is taken from the payee account until the order is shipped. This has always been the case" well what about the orders that were paid for and shipped with items missing?

"Orders are still going through and being fulfilled" great news but "as stated last week, I've had a tough time with some health issues recently and I am unable to work. I still don't know when I will be able to" so which is it?

good service, but I always found them really expensive. For example, the wooly mammoth drying towel is £13.95 from chemicalguysuk and it is €27.95 from cleancar

If you have Facebook cleancar have a page on there and they say what they have on special offer. I got some big massive towel from them recently reduced and some Supernatural Deep Pile Buffing Cloths for a fiver each.

There are about 4 or 5 products from CG that CleanCar.ie can't get anywhere near UK pricing on, I can't explain that, the Wooly Mammoth is one of them. I don't think we're even buying & landing it for £13.95.

By comparison the biggest CG reseller covering Benelux sells it at €29.95 - http://www.chemicalguys.nl/index.php/woolly-mammoth-dryer-towel.html

As for the €40 Snow Foam Lances...the biggest dealer in the UK retails those at £45 sterling currently, other places range from £50-60. At €40 it's below cost, I'd be inclined to read something into pricing like that.

Chris, seriously? The above is (and I quote you) a post from an established member (i.e. me! LONG time reader/poster). I merely posted in an effort to give people on this thread a headsup of what I came across online, having read this thread and its concerns.

No wonder so many members only read and dont participate... Certain members on this particular subforum of boards really need to chill the funk out - not aimed at you - in general.

Back on topic - where can I get a top up of snow foam? Any offers about?

    Howdy All,

I've had bother in the recent past with a trader, eventually I had to involve the Consumer Agency to try get some resolution. If anyone feels strongly enough about lodging a complaint about the way they've been treated - I'd be onto the National Consumer Agency

I have rang, left messages, pm'd and still no reply and why should I have to take a 50 mile round trip plus a toll charge for stuff I had paid to be delivered and he might not be even there if I do make this trip?? You seem a bit touchy about this, maybe he is a friend of yours, maybe you could let us know when he is at the business and pm us all that are owed stock so we can all collect what we are owed.

Ciarsd, seriously? I know it's from an established poster, but I'd rather the thread was about what the best snow foam lance available is (as per the OP) rather than about detailer.ie, when he's not here to defend himself.
Even when he is, we'll be getting reported posts that he's using boards for business promotion purposes, so we're damned if we do and damned if we don't.

Instead, I just wanted to draw a line under it and get back to answering the OP's question, but I didn't edit any of the posts so that the information was available to everyone.
Your questioning this on thread has now reignited the discussion and led to:

Anywhooo about the snow foam. I've used both types from cleancar, one was their own one, it's a pinkish colour and the other was the magifoam, a yellow one that smells of banana chews. Both very good and just a fiver in the difference of 5l's. But I think the magifoam one seemed to sit on the car for longer.

That is the only thing with their own product..
While it does cling to the car and stay there for quite a while.
I would prefer something to really hang on.
Might try the other one next.

I prefer Autosmart for snow foam. I've tried so many at this stage it's embarrassing, including the silly coloured ones that will dye your driveway. Actimousse is what I have at the moment and it's great imo, good cleaning action and quite good cling. Magifoam is alright I suppose, never really was able to reproduce good results like others.

Downside of actimousse is that is does contain some traffic film remover (tfr) so it is slightly stronger.

I've got THE foam lance and have used two types of snow foam, Hyperwash + a.n.other: found them both fairly similar. I have also put in some car shampoo into the lance, it's not too bad either.

TBH I don't think an application of foam thing really does much in terms of cleaning the car. Great craic though.

But the foam + lance is BRILL for cleaning the house windows and the conservatory! Foam on, brush, rinse off, squeegee dry, windows come out sparkling.

The best result I've got out of a pressure washer was a hot wash: barrel of 40DegC water with some Megs car shampoo, fed through the pressure washer. Did an excellent job on the car. But that's another story.
