We joined up to sky on 3rd of this month with a sales rep who said we would get first 3 months half price
Got bill today & was charged full price, phoned up the rep & he said ah that offer mist have finished, nothing I can do
Sky won't do anything, won't honour the half price for 3 months they just say there's nothing they can do

Email them. If that offer is not available then Sky lied and misled you into subscribing.

That,or the sky rep lied to get the sale...

It wouldn't be the first time,,and it won't be the last.

How long is the cooling-off period? Still, might loose any installation costs if you go that route.

I'd be pretty p!ssed if that happened to me, and would be stirring up a sh!tstorm, especially if it was a substantial package I went for.

The rep did lie,Sky had no such offer-any offer they had at the time would have been on any fliers they sent out.The current offer for this month is 1st month free if you take any premium channels.

Why is there always a few bad apples that give decent guys a bad name.

The op should report the rep to Sky (if they have their name and contact number)

If it was door to door, they can be notorious for saying anything to get the sale. Bring the details into one if the sky stores and they can chase it up for u. It is just first month free at the moment afaik.

All info that reps get is updated monthly by Sky a few days before the offers 'go live' to the public, they are advertising Septembers package changes on the radio now,I reckon the rep that called to you used out of date info.Maybe he didn't mean to mislead you (or did it deliberately to get a sale)but that's no consolation if you paid out money you didn't expect to.
At least you got a free month (Remember that 31 days notice is needed to cancel any packages you don't want-people who get premium channels to avail of the free month cancel them straight away to avoid being billed)

I know of one guy who used to run a sales team selling Sky,he was notorious for giving reps incorrect information regarding offers and prices and of course left the reps in the firing line of irate customers.
