Problem with Ryanair flights/names

Hey guys, wasn't sure where to put this but any help would be great.

Basically my dad booked flights for my boyfriend and I last night, to London. We're flying over on the 6th September. I sent him a text with the exact spelling of our names, and he went and misspelled my boyfriend's name. My boyfriend's first name is spelled Garreth and he spelled it Gareth. Is this going to be a problem getting on the plane/through security? My boyfriend will have his passport and driver's licence with him. If it is going to be a problem, is there a way to change it?

Won't be a problem. You can call the reservation center and they'll make the change at no cost. It's an honest mistake.

As above, not a problem. my name is gareth and i have had various spelling versions booked by friends over the years, never a problem. Its a spelling error, not a name change and you are allowed a certain amount of characters misspelled. Don't worry.

Sorry to hijack thread but I have a similar question.

I booked flights a few months ago and didn't include a middle name that's on a passport, so:

Booked as Mary Ryan instead of Mary Helen Ryan (for example).

    Could this cause a problem?

    Many thanks.

Hi AnnyHallsal! I shouldn't think it would be a problem but to assure yourself you could always ring and check. Worth the small cost to put your mind at rest.

...and to the OP, did the same thing recently and it just took a phonecall to have the name changed. So long as it's just one letter that needs to be changed then it's no prob afaik.

My passport includes my middle name and I never use it when booking flights on Ryanair.
